Episode #5
My brother Rik has always been a metal head. Since we were kids his collection of cassettes and records(cds didn't come out until we were teens) included bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Queensryche, Judas Priest, and many others. Avalon Again looked like, sounded like, and smelled like a real kick ass heavy band. Click here to listen.

Episode #4 Holiday Edition
Several years ago at Maxx Production Jason and I worked on some traditional Christmas music. Recording songs of the past turned out to be a challenging project. The most difficult thing for us to do was to figure out how we could finish playing Desert Storm II and Conflict Global Terror while recording the cd. We spent 12 to 14 hours a day strung out on sugar and caffeine just so we could finish the game and work on the cd(Xbox was a very important part of our inspiration). The cd is not available for purchase nor does it have a name. It was at least a month of grooling work. It was tuff, but someone had to do it.

Episode #2

Today's episode is with my good friend Jason Franco. We go way back. We have played in several different bands together that include Tinman, Luvwig, and Travel. If you listen to the beginning of the podcast you hear us talk about former band mate Joey Barnes who is now drumming in the band Daughtry. When this podcast was recorded, we had no idea that he had been signed by the band. Click here to listen.

New Look
Welcome to the new home page of The Local. For months I have been going back and forth in my mind if I wanted to continue with The Local podcast. I felt like if I created a simpler look and different approach I would be motivated to continue recording and getting out into the Triad and meeting new groups. Over the next couple of weeks I will come up with a plan on redirecting my feed through Blogger and using it for a simple, straight forward approach to the show. If you are an artist interested in being on the show click here to submit your information. Please feel free to leave a comment and let me know you stopped by the page.
I met Mitch at Starbucks in Kernersville,NC. Mitch has been in the music industry for many years.Check out all the links to the right of the page to view Mitch's website and other links.Click
